When entering or exiting the Netherlands and other EU regions, you must declare to customs if you are carrying cash or securities exceeding a certain amount.
Declaration Threshold: When carrying cash or securities exceeding 10,000 Euros (EUR) for import or export
Declaration Procedure: Must be declared to customs. (Fines will be imposed if undeclared cash/securities are discovered)
This is the general duty-free allowance applicable to travelers entering the Netherlands (EU) from non-EU regions. Alcohol, tobacco, medicines, and personal luggage are not included in this amount and are subject to separate duty-free allowances.

Tobacco brought in duty-free must be for personal use only. If deemed for commercial purposes, it may be subject to taxation, seizure, and fines.
Personal medication: Personal medications for use during travel are duty-free.
Narcotic-containing medicines: For strong painkillers, sleeping pills, or medicines containing narcotic substances, a doctor's statement (Medication Statement) is essential, and prior authorization or a medical certificate may be required.
Food Restrictions:
Meat, fish, dairy products: Import of more than 20kg is prohibited (entry within the EU is permitted).
Caviar: Import prohibited if exceeding 125g (even if 125g or less, it will be subject to taxation if it exceeds the general duty-free allowance of 430 Euros).
Fruits and vegetables: Small quantities may be imported.
Counterfeit goods: Limited quantities may be imported for personal use only.
