The duty-free limits for personal effects that can pass through customs without declaration upon entry to Taiwan are categorized as follows.

2. πŸ’΅ Regulations and Declaration Standards for Bringing in Foreign Currency, Securities, and Precious Metals

 

Taiwan strictly applies entry limits and declaration obligations based on the type and amount of foreign currency. If you exceed the threshold amount, you must voluntarily declare it.
